Honda Fury

Hello all,

Well the much anticipated custom chopper from Honda has arrived. If you have not been to your local dealer to check it out you need to. My first impressions from the press release was wow that looks great. But after a personal visit to the dealership its short comings were more evident. Upon closer inspection the fenders and side covers are made of plastic. Not that I have anything against plastic but they looked cheap, especially the chrome battery box cover. The gas tank looks real cool

but only holds a little over three gallons, not good for those longer cruises. Hondas foray into the custom market is a big stretch for the "Big Red Machine". All of that aside from the rider position everything appears to be in a good position for rider comfort. This will make a very good custom for women to ride with its low seat height and light feel when holding the bike up. Another thing you can expect from Honda is the ride geometry, I am sure it will be able to carve thru twisties easily. Hey for 14000 dollars what did you expect a full blown radical with out of the world wheels and custom paint to boot. I have three bikes now a custom chopper I built, Fatboy and 1998 Honda Shadow Aero. So with all that said the Hondas ride and handle great but lack the power of the American V Twins.
